Pre-concentration of weak nitric acids of lower concentration than 45% to 55% up to azeotropic concentration of about 68% by rectification. |

High concentration of weak nitric acid of 50% to 68% up to 99% HNO3 and more by extractive rectification with sulphuric acid (NACSAC) or with magnesium nitrate (MAGNAC). |
