Milestone in Process Integrated Environmental Protection
Improved Process for High Concentration of Nitric Acid

High concentration of weak nitric acid using magnesium nitrate as dehydrating agent is a proven technology since years. PLINKE has again improved the process to meet stricter regulations in respect to environmental protection.

Additional process steps are now incorporated. Water condensate, formerly discharged, is internally recycled. Losses of nitric acid with the effluent gas and the process condensate are minimized. Nitrate load to the environment is drastically reduced.

Due to this development the reliable eco-efficient process for high concentration of nitric acid is furthermore optimized using best available techniques (BAT) and the design according to European guidelines for Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC).
